About immigration
kanaval is a movie where we follow Rico, a young boy who just fled Haiti with his mother and they arrive in Quebec. We see through Rico’s eyes, what it is to immigrate to a complete different world from his. We see Rico grows, understanding things in life, the hardships of adapting to a new environment.

À travers les yeux de Rico, nous découvrons ce que signifie immigrer dans un monde complètement différent du sien. Nous voyons Rico grandir, comprendre les choses de la vie et les difficultés liées à l’adaptation à un nouvel environnement.
